Poets — got rhythm, does your work sing, play the piano, dance? Do you paint amazing visuals with words? Experimental, concrete, satirical, lyrical, narrative, prose poem, if it’s different and really speaks out, send it in, we’d love to publish you. Artists — does your work reflect the poetry of visual images? Representational, narrative, mythic or abstract expressionism, if your photographs and paintings stir the soul, we want to share them with our readers.

Guidelines
Please note, we accept only electronic submissions at this time.
We are accepting submissions for Issue Five now through till February 1st 2010. Any submissions received after this date will be considered for Issue Six, which will not be appearing until October.
Poetry: please send previously unpublished poems of no more than 40 lines to ouroborosreview @ gmaildotcom. Include your name and the words ‘poetry submission’ in the subject line. Paste no more than four poems into the body of the email, along with a brief bio in the third person that includes previous publications — don’t worry if you are yet to be published, we know that everyone has to start somewhere. If you would like us to link to your website on our contributors page, please include a link with your submission.
We are afraid that we can no longer accept simultaneous submissions — we work hard to keep on top of submissions and you should hear back from us within one to three weeks.
Art: please send artworks or digital images to ouroborosreview @ gmaildotcom. Include your name and the words ‘art submission’ in the subject line. Attach no more than three, internet-ready images along with a brief bio. No simultaneous submissions please.
A note about collaboration. We are enthusiastic about collaboration, especially cross-genre. Please ensure you have your partner’s permission to submit and supply us with details of all artists involved.
We are aware that many poets and artists publish their work on blogs in the first instance. If you self-published a piece more than three months ago, we’ll consider it, though we will ask you to remove it from your blog or make the post private should it be accepted.
We publish two issues a year and will endeavour to get back to you all as soon as possible, if you haven’t heard from us in six weeks, please email us to politely demand the reason why!
Copyrights
Ouroboros review requests one-time, non-exclusive rights to publish your work in the online issue and the print edition of the magazine, at which time all rights revert back to you as the author or artist. A waiting period of six months to a year before you republish electronically or in another literary magazine would be appreciated. We would also be grateful for a link or a publishing credit for any future publications of your work.
Ouroboros review reserves the right to reprint work at a later date if it is selected for inclusion in an online anthology such as Verse Daily. By submitting your work to us you are implying that you agree with this arrangement.
