Rachel Mallino Fowley, who has four poems in Issue 2 of ouroboros (pages 10 and 11), has just announced the release of her new chapbook, Inside Bone There’s Always Marrow, published by Maverick Duck Press. Mallino Fowley’s poems are charged with the intensity of emotion made concrete through vivid metaphor and a strong sense of place.  Be sure to read her work in ouroboros, and to order a copy of her chapbook.

In addition to her creative writing, Rachel Mallino Fowley is the founding editor of Tilt Press and the editor of Slant, a dysfunctional e-journal of poetry & prose .

The reading period for Issue 3 of ouroboros review has now begun, and will continue through Sunday, May 3. Submission guidelines can be found on our submissions page. We offer the magazine online, and in print.

To get an idea of our editorial taste, and to enjoy some excellent poetry and art, please read our second issue.

Our featured poet for Issue 2 is the lovely and talented Michelle McGrane, of South Africa. Plus there’s an interview between poet Collin Kelley and poet, artist, and musician Vanessa Daou. Vanessa’s new CD, Joe Sent Me, is a sweet dream, pure magic.

With 46 pages of poetry, photographs, and paintings, there’s sure to be something to delight you!
